Abstract

Background: Fatigue is classified into two types, namely muscle fatigue and general fatigue. Muscle fatigue is a tremor in the muscles/feeling of pain in the muscles. While general fatigue is usually characterized by reduced willingness to work caused by monotony, intensity and duration of physical work, environmental conditions, mental causes, health status and nutritional conditions. This study aims to determine the relationship between years of work, working hours, nutritional status and work fatigue levels in jeans production workers at the Black Baron Convection, Cikijing District, Majalengka Regency in 2021. Methods: This type of research is an analytic survey with a cross sectional design. The population is all 37 jeans production workers. The sampling technique uses a total sampling technique with a sample size of 37. The instrument used is a questionnaire with an interview gauge. Univariate analysis to see the frequency distribution of each variable while bivariate analysis using chi square test with confidence = 0.05 Results: The univariate results show that most of the respondents have a working period of ≥ 4 years, namely 21 (51.3%). Working hours ≥ 8 hours which is 19 (51.1%). Undernutrition status is 20 (54.1%) and fatigue in the high category is 22 (59.5%). Based on the results of the chi square test, there was no relationship between working period (p=0.089) and working hours (p=0.002) and nutritional status (p=0.001) with work fatigue. Conclusion: This study shows that there is no relationship between working hours, working hours and nutritional status with work fatigue. The researcher suggests that a consistent convection program is needed to help with additional nutrition programs for workers. Suggestion: In this study, researchers suggest that employees be aware of fatigue at work by doing small stretches on the sidelines while working with the aim of keeping the body relaxed and fit.
